Song of the Day: "Cut to the Feeling"

I guess it's possible to have recording sessions that are so filled with brilliance that you can have a cache of surplus great music that is sufficient to a a b-side collection. That's gotta hurt the pop artists who can't even piece together 10 decent cuts though. Way to run up the score Carly Rae.

song of the Day: "Life's About to Get Good"

Shania, which is short for Shania Twain, aka Shania Law which the Arabs want to make us do all the time here, is back from wherever it was she went for a long while. Apparently she lost the ability to actually sing since this new album, Now, is filled with as many post hoc vocal production tricks as a Britney Spears album.

Ouch.

A personal note to Shania: if you change your locks it won't matter if you made him leave his keys.

Song of the Day: "Bodak Yellow"

Cardi B, who I have never heard of prior to today, beat Taylor Swift for the number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. This song, which I have never hard before just now, is a piece of shit.

Articles about the song call it record breaking because it's the first number one single by a solo female rapper since Lauryn Hill. That's not a record breaking thing. It ends a run but how was the centuries of no number one single before Lauryn Hill not the record breaker.

Also this song completely sucks.
