Song of the Day: "Aqua Teen Dream"

Patti Smith is a rock icon and if you are thinking of the chick from Scandal (bang bang) we aren't friends. Naturally she has no Grammys but she is one of the relatively few girls in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and she received a National Book Award for Just Kids and the Polar Music Prize (which is a thing).

Also she is part of the epic awesomeness that is Aqua Teen Hunger Force aka Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 aka Aqua Something You Know Whatever aka Aqua TV Show Show aka Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever. It's really and truly final episode (or so they claim) is Sunday night, ending 13 seasons of bombastic hilarity, terrorist threats and the cybernetic ghost of Christmas past from the future.

If I had watched the show more than 5 times in the past 3 years I might be more upset by this. Also it's on Hulu+.

The One With All The 9/11s

Friends, it was either your favorite show in the 90s or you're with the terrorists. It was the first sitcom to give a voice to Generation X and provides a snapshot of New York City of the era. Huge apartments, jean short overalls, IKEA aesthetic and white people, white people, white people. Most people don't realize that Manhattan was 99% white non-Hispanics from 1992 through 2003. That's reflected in shows like Will & Grace, Seinfeld, Mad About You, Sex and the City, Just Shoot Me and Sports Night.
Fun fact: Sports Night had a black!

Anyway, "The One With All The 9/11s" is the episode that never happened on account of all the sads we had after the Events of 9/11. But now, through a miracle of science and time travel, we get to get offended all over again.

Song of the Day: "Shut Up and Dance"

Have you noticed how I word clouding the lyrics to songs instead of writing something hilarious about how I confuse Band A with Band B? You're welcome.

Song: "Shut Up and Dance"
Artist: Walk the Moon

Flashback Song: "Bag of Hammers"

Whether you believe it or not, this song could easily be a great country song. Maybe Faith Hill can use this to come out of retirement or her coma or whatever.
The trick is you do not get on that interstate bus
The catch is you stay and see what becomes of us
