Song of the Day: "This is the Time (Ballast)"

It's not all dance remixes, show tunes or Kenny Chesney jokes here at the Rebel Agenda. A good 4% or more of it is music outside of those spheres or dick references or gratuitously shirtless men.

This is a band called Nothing More.

They're from San Antonio and they come to my attention via Scott at Rock File Radio.

They're not overly concerned with bio information online.

Completely unrelated, May is the month with the Herndon climb, a very special event in the world of the completely heterosexual Naval Academy.

Future seamen come together, a large lubricated phallic symbol, etc.

Song of the Day: "Still Crazy After All These Years"

With domestic violence charges pending one wonders if this track from Simon's early solo career will bite him in the ass somehow.

Or just file under: songs I should have written about Carrie Fisher.

Reading about Robert Ellis's cover inspired me to listen. No regrets in doing that.

Song of the Day: "I Never Wear White"

Smart advice from Suzanne Vega. It takes a certain quality to wear white.

That quality is anorexia.

People who eat should avoid white.

Like me and Suzie.

Song of the Day: "Royal Cream"

Given how her insidious ways kept Superchunk a secret from me for a decade or so (possibly more, she's that evil) could it be that Becky is hiding Afghan Wigs from me?

I guess there's only one way to find out.

No. No, she's not.

Song of the Day: "The Soundmaker"

Is it poetic or merely coincidental that I am working on something en espanol right at this moment?

Exactly.
