I spent a chunk of yesterday morning listening to a preview of the new Decemberists album, The King is Dead. It opens with this grand slice of Americana, complete with harmonica straight from Neil Young's kitchen. Breakfast nook. Whatever.
Actually I'm 90% sure it's not Young himself, because it's too crisp. How does Young manage feedback with his harmonica? Nevermind, this is a fucking great overture to a solid album! All hail the dead king of The King is Dead... whatever that means.
