Also, Whitten isn't making a lot of friends in Taos, after referring to its residents as "mountain people" and "potheads who escaped society." I love anyone who makes me feel diplomatic. Larry Whitten bought a small hotel in Taos NM, and has set out to make a variety of customer-focused improvements. Improvements like firing every Hispanic on staff on account of their weird names and their inability to talk right English. In response, Whitten asked this rhetorical question:
