Why aren't you watching 30 Rock?

If this were Colbert it would be hysterical...

...but this, this is just weird.



Flaming, godless Portland is not among the cities (SIGH). But Atlanta, Houston and Dallas in August... it's the 12th nicest month to visit those, um, large cities. So enjoy. I will be too busy burning flags to attend, I'm sure.

The Senate Democratic Caucus just handed it to Joe Lieberman by letting him retain chairmanship of his Homeland Security committee. In your face, Joe. Betray us and we will hold you accountable by doing jack shit.

Harry Reid is kinda lucky Paul Begich pulled ahead of Ted Stevens in the AK Senate race. Now he doesn't have to flail around impotently trying to toss a convicted felon out of the Senate. And, no doubt, failing.

Evolution of activism

Rex Wockner has some nice thinking on the new community organizers working on equality for the gay/lesbian/bi/trans/etc. community.

Maybe Stonewall was Activism 1.0, ACT UP was Activism 2.0, the failed corporate activism of HRC and No On Prop 8 was Activism 3.0, and now we are witnessing Activism 4.0 being born.
