Maybe I'm related to the McCains...

Operator: 911 state your emergency

Caller: It's not an emergency but do you know why on one side at the damn drawbridge of 95traffic is stopped for 15 minutes and yet traffic's coming the other way?

Operator: Sir, are you calling 911 to complain about traffic? (pause)

Caller: "Fuck you." (caller hangs up)

The operator called back and received this message: "Hi this is Joe McCain I can't take this message now because I'm involved in a very (inaudible) important political project... I hope on Nov. 4th we have elected John."

So you think you can lead?

The highest paid person in the McCain/Palin campaign? Palin's make-up artist. I guess it takes a real specialist to apply lipstick to a pit bull.

Welfare mom?

If the state of Alaska is paying to house and feed Sarah Palin's family, does that make her a welfare mom?

Couldn't happen to a more deserving biotch...

Michelle Bachmann may have put her talking points covered foot deep into her idiotic mouth. Heh.

While the election can't get here soon enough for me, I'm not minding shit like this.

Sarah Palin says she's proud to be called a Redneck Woman

Maybe she needs to read the lyrics of the Gretchen Wilson song...

Victoria's Secret
Well their stuff's real nice
Oh but I can buy the same damn thing on a Wal*Mart shelf half price
And still look sexy
Just as sexy
As those models on TV
No I don't need no designer tag to make my man want me
You might think I'm trashy
A little too hard core
But get in my neck of the woods
I'm just the girl next door

In the past 2 months the McCain/Palin campaign spent $150,000 on her wardrobe and styling. And it wasn't spent at Walmart.

If you want some context, the median US household income in 2007 was about $50,000. That means that in 2 months they've spent about what 3 typical US households earned last year. Seriously.

Next time she wants to pretend to be a reg'lar gal and call Obama elitist, just tell her to go back to the North Pole.

Michelle Bachmann needs to practice shutting the fuck up

CHRIS MATTHEWS: So you believe that Barack Obama may have anti-American views?

BACHMANN: Absolutely. I'm very concerned he may have anti-American views.

Today Bush face-sucker Bachmann tried to clean up the pantload with this incredible (and easily disproven) statement. (Think Progress):

This morning, Bachmann tried to undo the damage. Appearing on WCCO (Minneapolis' local CBS affiliate), Bachmann denied she ever called Barack Obama's views "anti-American":

HOST: You do feel his [Obama's] views are anti-American?

BACHMANN: I feel his views are concerning. I'm calling on the media to investigate them. I'm not saying that his views are anti-American. That was a misreading of what I said. And so I don't believe that's my position. I'm calling on the media to take a look at what his views are.

The wind beneath my wings

"Real" America attempts to intimidate, um, "fake" America

McCain supporters (allegedly, cough) slashed tires at an Obama rally in North Carolina today. They seem scared.

They also heckled (allegedly, cough) voters at an early voting location.

The Washington Times reports: "An organizer at the rally rattled off the addresses of early vote sites nearby that would be open after the event. Photographer Joe Eddins and I headed over to the closest one and found a steady line of voters hoping to cast ballots early. Most seemed to be Obama supporters and several had come from the rally. Nearly all the voters were black. Also at the polling site was a group of loud and angry protesters who shouted and mocked the voters as they walked in. Nearly all were white. As you can see from these videos, no one held anything back. People were shouting about Obama's acknowledged cocaine use as a young man, abortion and one man used the word 'terrorist.' They also were complaining that Sundays are for church, not voting."

I voted today

One of the many great things about living in Oregon. 100% vote by mail.

Understanding the current financial cluster fuck

This helps. God bless Matt Taibbi....

Colin Powell hates women

Right wing talking heads are accusing Colin Powell of endorsing Obama solely because of race. But I've chosen to look for an even more insidious reason.

His misogyny.

Pure and simple he's endorsing Obama to keep Sarah Palin away from success.
